Hello there!

Welcome to SayHedgehog.com! My name is Roxie. I'm the creator and maintainer of this site and I'm so happy to bring this site to people like me who adore hedgehogs.

SayHedgehog.com is a reliable hedgehog resource for those of us with hedgehogs, or those who are just interested in the wonderful little guys. Here at SayHedgehog.com, I have tried to provide accurate and useful information on how to choose and care for a hedgie baby as well as a list of reputable breeders to make finding a healthy hoglet easy and fun.

SayHedgehog.com even has it's own forum for hedgehog lovers to get together and discuss the prickly little creatures as well as other pets! Join and start sharing your stories and asking questions!

A hedgehog isn't the right pet for everyone, so please, before you purchase one read as much as you can and take into careful concideration whether or not one is right for you. Hopefully, SayHedgehog.com can help in making that decision.

I got my first hedgehog, Quillson, on December 16, 2003. Unfortunately, I lost him on October 14, 2005 from what I believe was Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome. I have a section on this site dedicated to WHS with the hope that perhaps I can help make the life of another hedgie afflicted with this awful disease to live a happy life. I miss my little Quillson every single day and feel absolutely blessed that he was my first. Check out his tribute section to see more of him.

Quillson's passing, as tragic as it was, gave me the opportunity to bring a new baby hedgie into my life, Theodore. He is just a joy! It's been amazing to see the differences in his personality as opposed to Quillson. Theodore has a section of the site as well, so be sure to revel in his cuteness!

Also, SayHedgehog.com is all about showing off your little quilled friend! Please, send in your hedgehog stories, photos, and anything else hedgehog that you can think of to share with the world. Every week I will choose a new Hedgehog of the Week! Every hedgehog deserves his/her day in the sun, so start submitting those little ones!

If you see anything that needs to be added, removed, or elaborated upon, please feel free to contact me and I'll be happy to mend it.

I hope that you find what you need here at SayHedgehog.com and that you'll come back often.

Always,
